We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Platform, and information from third parties.

2.1 Information You Provide

Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and password
Job details: Pickup and delivery addresses, shed dimensions, photos, and move instructions
Business information: Company name, tax ID, DOT number, insurance certificates (for haulers and business accounts)
Payment information: Credit card details handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor; we do not store full card numbers
Communications: Messages sent through the Platform or to our support team

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages viewed
Usage data: Job postings, bids placed, messages sent, and feature interactions
Location data: General geographic location derived from IP address
Cookies and similar technologies: See Section 8 below

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform
Match Customers with Haulers based on location, availability, and job requirements
Process platform membership and posting fees; homeowners pay haulers directly for moves
Send transactional emails, including account confirmations, bid alerts, platform fee receipts, and move updates
Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
Improve our services, conduct analytics, and develop new features

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Customer contact and street addresses: Customer names beyond the first name, phone numbers, email addresses, and street address text are available only to approved haulers with a paid membership, for jobs they win or are selected for, or as the Platform permits paid haulers to access. These details remain locked for unpaid and trial haulers, including trial winners. The current hauler membership for new subscriptions is $9.99 per month; existing subscribers may retain their existing price.
Load board location visibility: All registered drivers can see an exact pickup map pin on the load board. Delivery locations are shown at town level for drivers whose details are locked. A map pin can reveal a pickup property's location even while its street address text and customer contact details remain locked.
Hauler access: Haulers can browse after signing up. Bidding requires our approval after providing a USDOT number and proof of insurance. Approved haulers receive a one-time 30-day free bidding trial starting at approval. After that trial, a paid membership is required to bid; customer contact remains paid-only throughout the trial. Business posting and membership options follow the fees and allowances shown on the Platform.
Service providers: We share information with trusted third parties who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, hosting, analytics, email delivery, and customer support. These providers are contractually bound to protect your information.
Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or if necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to the same privacy protections.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. These include encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Job-related data may be retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to support tax, insurance, and dispute-resolution requirements.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We will comply within thirty (30) days, subject to any legal obligations that require retention.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information
Restriction: Request that we limit the processing of your information
Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format
Objection: Object to certain types of processing, such as direct marketing

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and personalize content. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.

We use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to understand how users interact with the Platform. These services may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites.

Google Analytics measures successful quote requests and new account creation using event names and non-contact categories such as pickup state, account type, and signup method. These conversion events do not include names, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, or customer matching identifiers.

If configured, Google Ads measures successful quote requests for advertising and conversion measurement and may use device information and advertising cookies. Our optional Google Ads hook does not load or send in regions requiring consent, or when the region cannot be determined, because no advertising consent banner is currently offered. Ad platforms can still report ad clicks and impressions independently of this website's conversion hook. We do not upload customer contact details for advertising matching.

You can control cookies through your browser and use Google's advertising and analytics opt-out tools. The optional advertising hook honors Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track, and a saved refusal on this website. To ask about your choices or withdraw any consent you have provided directly to us, contact moveyourshed@gmail.com. A general acceptance of this Privacy Policy is not consent to share customer identifiers for advertising.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
